Prison Jammer

The Prison Jammer manages the problem of illegal cell phones in a Prison or Government facility. Prison Solutions from HSS offer multiple approaches to stop smuggled phones from making calls by using RF Jammers, Detector Jammers, or Managed Access.

Our solutions differ in operation and design. Some Prison Jammers work to block off large areas in a building to stop cell phone calls. These Prison Jammers consist of active or reactive cell phone jammers that are installed in a pre-determined pattern.

Other Prison Jammers may be set up in a fixed design to radiate RF interference and defeat any attempt to use a mobile phone service provider's network to make or receive calls. This would involve stationary rack-mounted RF jamming telemetry.

The alternative to using Prison Jammer technologies would be using Managed Access and Cell Catchers with Selective Jammer features. These are not RF jamming technologies. They are permission based systems managed by an administrator in a Prison or a Government building. Their operational duties involve establishing cellular communication guidelines that permit authorized users to connect to the local phone networks, while unauthorized cell phone users are denied service (without RF jamming).

The RF Jammer is one of several cell phone jammers used to block calls on the phone handsets within range. They are generally sought for use in Prison and Correctional facilities.
Government buildings who require cellular silence also implement these jammers, as well as Embassy and Diplomatic security offices.

The Detector Jammer is a reactive system that stays dormant until it senses a mobile handset. Upon detection, its RF Jamming starts and broadcasts disabling interference to stop prison cell phones in range.
This solution is a new and proprietary technology of HSS and is now in full production for use in both correctional and Government facilities.

With Managed Access, the good guys can talk on their cell phones while the bad guys cannot. Wardens, Doctors, Administration Prison administration, and Base Commanders on a military facility would be able to make and receive calls.
Criminals in Prison, as well as non-authorized cellular phone users attempting to make or receive cals would not be able to make or get calls.

The Cell Phone Detector is a very sensitive RF Detector able to intercept global cellular frequencies. Upon capture, it displays signal strength of specified frequency bands.
The graphic visualizer then discovers mobile phone activity within range. This detector has become an invaluable tool when dealing with the search for contraband prison cell phones.

RF Jamming on a localized area can be done with Cell Phone Jammers. A directional or omni directional cell jammer will perform surgical blocking of cell phone handsets from working,
and operate manually.

The Cell Catcher is an alternative to RF Jamming. Using a permissions based form of access control, the Cell Catcher uses a Managed Access Core. It lets approved cell phones make and receive calls, while denying all others.

The Selective Jammer uses a Managed Access Core for portable and stationary fire-walling of cellular handsets. It works as a Cellular Firewall and includes impressive features for tracking a cellular handset.

When a Communication Jammer is deployed, the Prison Authority may conduct  facility and prison jamming on a full scale. This would be used to eliminate cellular service "shadows" and work to block all communications of smuggled prison cell phones. Click to Read More.

Please Note:  All Jamming devices in part or whole may be regulated by the US Department of State in accordance with the guidelines of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms) title 22, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 120-130. An export license may be required before proceeding. RF Jamming in some countries is regulated. In the United States, RF Jamming is prohibited by the FCC. Using an RF Jammer without FCC permission is a violation. Some Federal Agencies and US Armed Forces may be exempt.
